Music Teaching That Changes Lives

The New School of Music is a nonprofit community music school where students of all ages learn from accomplished performers and dedicated educators. Since 2013, we’ve connected aspiring musicians with world-class professionals in a welcoming environment where every student can grow with confidence. Whether you’re just beginning your musical journey, returning after years away, or preparing for auditions and performances, our personalized instruction is designed to help you reach your musical goals.

Our faculty includes internationally acclaimed saxophonist Don Braden, renowned jazz educator Joe Morales, acclaimed drummer Paul Deemer, and an exceptional team of professional musicians who bring decades of performing and teaching experience to every lesson.

As part of our mission to make music education accessible, we provide scholarships to underserved children, with scholarship students making up to 50% of our total enrollment.

Underserved Children’s Scholarship Program

The New School of Music believes every child should have the opportunity to experience the lifelong benefits of music education. Through our scholarship program, we provide free music instruction to underserved students in pre-K through 12th grade, with scholarships available for up to 50% of our total enrollment.

Our scholarship program is funded through tuition revenue and the generosity of donors and community partners. Students are identified through The New School of Music and its partners and are selected based on financial need, a desire to learn, and a commitment to their musical journey.
